Themes

CampusPress (by EduBlogs) offers over 300 professionally designed themes to customize your site. New themes are regularly added and vetted to ensure security, compatibility, and accessibility.

All themes are:

  • Built to meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards wherever possible.

  • Fully responsive and mobile-friendly.

  • Optimized for images and rich media.

Recommended themes:

  • CampusPress Flex – Extremely versatile, accessible, and customizable.

  • Divi – Flexible, visual builder theme with robust design options.

To choose or change your theme, go to Dashboard > Appearance > Themes and browse the collection.


Widgets

CampusPress offers a wide range of widgets you can add to your site’s sidebars and pages—such as photo galleries, forms, maps, social feeds, and more.

To manage widgets, go to Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.

Important:

Please activate the “Accessible Content” widget via Dashboard > Plugins to help ensure your site meets accessibility guidelines.


Accessibility Review Requirement

Rice University requires that all blogs.rice.edu sites meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.

First, activate the “Accessible Content” plugin:

Go to Dashboard > Plugins and activate Accessible Content.

Then, when you finish building your site—or any time you update or make changes

Click the “Accessibility Review” link in the black admin bar at the top of each page or post to ensure it passes accessibility checks.


Plugins

CampusPress provides a curated set of education-focused plugins to add advanced features (like contact forms, social sharing, image tools, and custom CSS).

You can explore and activate plugins in Dashboard > Plugins.
