The new CampusPress by EduBlogs offers over 190 themes to customize your site. New WordPress themes are added as they become available and are vetted through CampusPress. The original 190+ selections include themes that are automatically accessible, sized to display on mobile devices, and make the most of your images. Select Appearance > Themes to find one that matches the content of your site.
Test Themes in CampusPress Platform before May 8, 2015
The migration from Rice’s previous blog platform to CampusPress occurs at the end of the Spring 2015 semester. If your previous site used a default WordPress theme in blogs.rice.edu, it probably looks the same in the test environment: betablogs.rice.edu. To test your theme, begin typing your site name but change blogs.rice.edu to betablogs.rice.edu. Example: about.blogs.rice.edu => about.betablogs.rice.edu.
Different Theme in CampusPress?
Five themes created and customized in the old blog platform are not compatible with CampusPress. The blogs.rice.edu sites that used those themes have been converted to a sleek black and white theme called Twenty Fourteen. These are the five themes that now appear in black and white:
- Greenday
- Pink-Kupy
- sumenep
- veryplaintxt
- Light
Widgets
Widgets (and Sidebars) control appearance and content on menus and on individual pages. Examples include photo galleries and Google Maps.
